Garage Sale season is in full swing! As many of you know Cindy Clark and her family are moving to India and will be having a MASSIVE Garage Sale. Herself along with over 20 other families will be taking part in a neighboorhood sale. The Sale starts this Wednsday  May 4th and runs through Saturday May 7th.

Garage Sale Season!

I stumbled across this add on Craigslist for a HUGE sale through an organization called Multiples Connection of Minnesota. There are over 75 sellers and the sale is held at Maple Grove Jr High off of 694 and Hemlock. It's being held this Saturday 4/30,has a $1 admission, and goes from 10:00am - 1:00pm. It sounds like a big crowd of people go and so they are asking that you not bring children.
I plan on stopping by when it starts so e-mail me if you want a partner to fight the crowds with you, my pregnant belly is an advantage in this case.

Free Stuff

Hi Everyone,

I am in the middle of a HUGE clean out of my house and am planning to make a very large donation to Goodwill in the next couple of days. Before I drop everything off, I thought I would see if anyone is interested in a few items.

2 tall bookshelves - cherry wood veneer
TV stand (corner unit) that matches the cherry book shelves
one smaller  wood bookshelf that could use a fresh coat of paint
TV - small, but works fine (not flat screen)
Wallpaper steamer (for removing wall paper)
I have a ton of cleaning supplies (I inherited from three friends moves)

fake christmas tree (not pre-lit and I think 7')

Great Cafe Rio Sweet Pork Recipe

Some of you may be familiar with Cafe Rio or Costa Vida.  They are sort of a big deal in AZ and Utah as well as a couple other states. Anyway they make a fabulous Sweet Pork and I tried the recipe the other night and it was SUPER good. I'm including the link to the blog where I found the recipe that includes the pork recipe, cilantro lime rice, black beans, and the cilantro lime ranch (delish!). I will disclose though that I think the rice recipe is a little off ( I thought I messed it up the first time and so I tried a second time only to get the same result. The liquid to rice ratio is off)
If you get a chance to try it, it's really yummy and is great to feed a crowd as you can do most of the preparation early.....

Groupon for Pasta Zola & a Playdate...?

Groupon has a great deal for Pasta Zola- Spend $6 and get $12 worth of food. From what I can tell Pasta Zola is an independently owned restaurant similar to Noodles & Co. The catch is it's in the Eden Prairie Center Mall, I guess it's not free standing. BUT, Eden Prairie Mall does have a great soft play area for little ones and this potentially could make a fun play date with a friend, and an inexpensive lunch as well. You can't go wrong with noodles for the little ones and some indoor fun away from the snow, all for $6!
